As a rural resident who is not involved with the upcoming referendum, I have been pleased to see democracy in action.
Compared to the apathy before last year's elections, the citizens of Cranbrook are taking an interest and are talking about their city. Bravo!
Regardless of the outcome of the referendum, Cranbrook citizens have learned and are thinking about their City's function. They have learned that their voices count.
This is a chance to choose for or against the annexation.
Now, everyone needs to get out and vote.
