QUESTION OF THE WEEK

Letters
Don’t want growth of city driven by developers

We are not against growth, but do we really want the growth of our city to be driven by developers? We do not need a “second city,” we do not need more golf courses, we do not need more high-end housing that most of us could never afford.

These things are definitely part of the developers’ vision that they depicted in their open house in 2007. Think of the negative environmental impact this expansion would have. When will this administration starting thinking “green?”

When will this administration understand that we, the taxpayers, pay the bills as well as their wages? They should be working for us, not the developers. It’s time we make a strong stand against this kind of expansion. We have the opportunity to halt this now. Please join us in voting NO on November 14th.
