Spirit Awards

Congratulations to the City of Cranbrook and Cranbrook Chamber of Commerce for a fantastic Celebration of Community Spirit evening. A special thanks to the organizers, our hosts, the talent and attendees for showing what the meaning of spirit really is.

For me personally, this evening celebrated languages (old and new), asking why and saying why not, home town heroes to new to the neighbourhood, hockey players to train engineers, fitness to fitting in, green thumbs to service clubs, torches and arches, behind the scenes to in the spotlight, difference of opinions and respect, family and friends, caring and sharing, young and old, music and the arts, winners and no losers, Cranbrook/Kimberley, East Kootenay, British Columbia, Canada. A celebration of community spirit and a grateful heart

Great job to all those involved! A special kudos to Rod Osiowy, Citizen of the Year, Debbie Sinclair, Big Brothers Big Sisters Community Builder of the Year, Allan Gordon and your Freedom of the City Award, Fred Deschamps, Greg Eaton, Daniel Arthur, Franklin Greene, Richard Leesman and Rick Schram, Governal General Certificate of Commendation Awards!

Sincerely,

Donna Grainger
