I would like to acknowledge and thank the Townsman for its February 2 front page which included images from the Ktunaxa creation story. To my knowledge, this is the first time that our nation's creation story has been provided such profile. While the gulf of understanding between Aborignal and non-Aboriginal peoples can often be stark in British Columbia, it is stories such as this that help bridge that distance; even if it is in small measure. I am heartened to see that our creation story is as vibrant as ever, and being exposed to a broader audience.
