HST in the long run

The recent articles in the Townsman have been interesting especially the effort by Mr Bennett to assure us that we will be better off with another tax.

I wonder if the Taxpayer has forgotten the Carbon Tax, which has had an impact on the increased cost of living because the transportation costs have gone up. I seem to remember Mr Campbell promoting the idea for people to exercise and keep healthy, a good idea, but this HST will cost more to buy exercise equipment, join fitness clubs etc. Lots of people buy vitamins to stay healthy and cut down using the health services but it is going to cost us more. Mr Bennett stated that the HST will be much less of a drag on the economy and should actually strengthen the economy, adding businesses in the province will save $ 150 million annually., but in the long run will put more money in British Columbians Pockets.

How long will we have wait, what is a long run? We know that we have a deficit budget but will this latest Tax Grab help to lower it, or is it going to pay some of the huge over runs for the Olympics?. I believe that our Liberal government had plans for the HST and forgot to mention it as they would have most likely lost the election so i cannot trust them.

I will keep my options open for the next election but right now I would not vote for another Liberal government, I just can't afford you.
