Thank you and thanks to all the local media, corporate citizens and individuals who helped to make our local Benefit for Haiti such a success.
The cooperation and willing help received from all sectors of the community was overwhelming.
Special thanks to the Key City Theatre and its new manager; Lowell and crew, all theatre volunteers and of course, our performers Jason Scott’s Diamond Forever, the Friesen Family, Shattered and Red Girl. You all did a great job!
The event would not have happened had it not been for the organizational skills of Dan and Karen Poirier — they were the real impetus behind the project.
I believe you all are entitled to know how it went in terms of financial success. There was $7,993 collected from individuals and that will be matched by the federal government. Additionally there was a $1,000 unmatched corporate contribution.
Total from all sources: $16,986.
Way to go Cranbrook, you’ve done it again!
Thanks and God bless you all!
