This is a long over-due note of thanks to some Cranbrook residents whose names I will never know. In 1988, my father passed away in Cranbrook. He was a private individual and relatively few people knew him personally. As our small procession drove through the streets of Cranbrook on the way to the cemetary, I noticed an elderly couple on the sidewalk. As we passed, they stopped and the gentleman took off his hat as a mark of respect. It was very touching gesture and much appreciated. So to that couple and to their families, thank you from the bottom of my heart.
