“In the first place, we should insist that if the immigrant who comes here in good faith becomes a Canadian and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated in an exact equality with everyone else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed, or birthplace, or origin.
“But this is predicated upon the person’s becoming in every facet a Canadian, and nothing but a Canadian. There will be no divided allegiance here. Any person who says they are a Canadian, but something else also, isn't a Canadian at all. We have room for but one flag, the Canadian flag. We have room for but one language here and that is the English language. And we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the Canadian people.” (Wilfrid Laurier, 1907).
So tell me if you please, what the hell has happened? We have changed our bike helmet laws, our national police force dress laws, we have taken the word God out of our schools because it might offend a minority of students not of the Christian faith.
It is politically incorrect for public and civil servants to wear anything of a religious nature while serving the public despite the fact that civil servants are allowed to wear turbans on the job as public servants. Why?
Canadians need to stand up for Canadians. Seems to me we’ve bent over far more than backwards to appease new immigrants long enough. Who's standing up for the tens of thousands who died fighting for this country and it’s flag because they can no longer stand up? And now we have a boatload of illegals who are coming here to take further advantage of us.
Stand up, all you good Canadians and say, “that's it, enough is way more than enough.” If all you bleeding hearts and lily livered politicians (who are afraid of losing a few votes) think this is a racist message, then shame on you.
