A 28-year-old Cranbrook man had his drug trafficking activities interrupted on Feb. 15 when police executed a search warrant on his residence at the Mesa Grove Trailer Court.
Police say they were acting on information they received that the man was trafficking cocaine and marijuana.
Once inside the residence, they seized three ounces of cocaine, money and scales, which they allege was part of his trafficking activity.
The male was arrested at his home but was released a couple of hours later with a court date of April 19 for his first appearance in Cranbrook Provincial Court.
The man's identity can't be released until Crown Counsel approves a charge, but police will be recommending one charge of possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking.
Police continue to encourage anyone with information about drug activity or any other crime to contact them at the local detachment at 250-489-3471 or if you prefer to remain anonymous, through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
