Hailing from rural Saskatchewan, Buhr Johnson has released four albums since starting her recording career in 2006.
An accomplished pianist, accolades for Penny Buhr Johnson have poured in since she began playing professionally.
"Her personality is affectionate, her style of music is matchless and impressionable, her songwriting remarkable and her voice incredible. Without a doubt, she is one of the most astounding ladies I have ever known," said Billy Hale, president and founder of the Country Gospel Music Association (CGMA).
In 2008 and 2009, Buhr Johnson won five Silver Heart awards from the CGMA, including Instrumentalist, Songwriter and Female Vocalist of the Year.
