Fire topples former Tembec planer mill
A fire broke out in the late hours of November 1, razing the former Tembec planer mill building on Theatre Road.
Bystanders at the scene told the Townsman the building that was destroyed had previously housed the company's planer mill equipment before it was shuttered several years ago.
Emergency officials from Fortis BC were on the scene to help identify the gas lines in the area. BC Ambulance Service also attended.
Cranbrook firefighters were on the scene dousing the blaze into the early morning hours of November 2.
