Cranbrook’s Tyson Hirscher won gold in pointstop and continuous at the World Karate and Kickboxing Council-sanctioned provincials in Williams Lake at the end of March. Hirscher’s results have qualified him for nationals in Ottawa in the middle of May. Hirscher, 17, trains out of the Rocky Mountain Academy of Martial Arts and Evolution Martial Arts.
